President’s Message
Message from TRICON USA President
Dear TRICON USA alumni members,
I am humbled,
honoured and privileged to serve as the current President of TRICON USA.
TRICON USA (Trivandrum College of Nursing alumni in USA) was established in 2019, as a non profit organization in order to empower each other and to promote welfare by engaging in philanthropic activities.
A bunch of strong alumni nursing leaders from Trivandrum College of Nursing met at a couple of random nursing conferences and felt the need for networking that can and will build solid professional relationships. This will help in improving the vertical relationship (between the batches) in addition to the horizontal relationship (among the same batch). Furthermore, to recreate the unique homely feel as well as to improve the career through education, empowerment, entertainment and engagement.
From the encouragement and enthusiasm received from the gathering, we were able to start this group as a nonprofit organization under IRS code section 501(c )(3) on July 22nd, 2019. During the past year we were able to connect with hundreds of members that are in different parts of the United States
We have been doing monthly teleconference meetings since last year and came up with our Mission and Vision, developed Bylaws and also obtained a bank account with Chase Bank. We also developed our emblem and also launched our website.
Lastyear we were able to support the 4 students from Trivandrum College of Nursing through scholarships.
This endeavor was not possible without the support and guidance from the great visionaries among us but not limited to Accamma Kallel, , Moly Poulose,Haridas Thankappan, Molly Jacob and Harilal Nair.
